Sustainability at Gassner
Sustainability is one of the greatest challenges of our time and is increasingly demanded by industry. However, the environment and sustainability are also important to us on a personal level. At GASSNER, we see our business activities as a direct responsibility to operate sustainably. At the same time, this approach presents a great opportunity to ensure the long-term success of our company through sustainability.

Tackling climate change
We take responsibility for our contribution to climate protection. Our aim is to reduce CO₂ emissions across all our business activities, including upstream and downstream processes, to improve energy efficiency and to minimise our environmental footprint. For example, by switching to renewable energy, optimising our production processes and promoting sustainable purchasing. We also develop products that help our customers achieve their own sustainability goals, for example, by reducing material usage and improving operational efficiency.
Sustainable procurement
Responsible procurement is important to us. We are committed to long-term partnerships with suppliers who share our values regarding sustainable environmental and social standards. In doing so, we ensure that our suppliers adopt environmentally friendly practices and are committed to promoting fair working conditions and upholding human rights within their own supply chains. Through transparency, commitment and cooperation, we work together with our business partners to strengthen sustainability as a key component of our products’ performance.
Sustainable resources
We use natural resources responsibly. For us, the efficient use of resources makes sense from both an environmental and an economic perspective. We are optimising our production processes; we are working to minimise our use of resources and the amount of waste we produce, and to reduce our energy consumption. We prioritise recyclable materials and develop products that can be recycled at the end of their life cycle in order to promote the circular economy.

Within the Industry Association of the Beverage Packaging Industry, key issues are discussed within the sector association and solutions are found jointly with the involvement of industry experts. As part of the industry, we as a company also have a responsibility to support professional and sustainable development. Through our membership, we can play an active role in shaping stability, future viability and sustainable growth.
